Micro-P hires new sales manager and graduates
Micro-P has appointed a sales manager to develop new business opportunities, with the distributor taking on 11 graduates as part of a new graduate programme.
Jason Birt formerly worked at Barracuda Networks and IBM. His appointment is effective immediately and he will be based in the distributor's Basingstoke offices.
The graduate appointments are the first since Micro-P launched its new scheme. The new staff will work with a range of vendors and receive training on various sales skills. Nick Foster Micro-P's HR director, said: 'Micro-P’s Sales Graduate Programme is a major investment by us on behalf of our vendors and customers. The chosen graduates will be equipped with the best sales and product training to allow them to really understand our customers’ requirements and how best they can be met. Our vendors will also benefit from a focus on adding breadth and delivering relevant, targeted messaging to new customers.
'The growth we have experienced over the last few years has allowed us to continually promote and develop staff internally and we really feel that recruiting high potential graduates will complement our existing recruitment sources. We enjoy industry low attrition rates and know that we can provide a structured, rewarding, long term career for high potential candidates across the business, hence the introduction of the programme.'
