Samsung given green light to be used in Government
The British Government has boosted Samsung by allowing selected Android smartphones and tablets to be used by public servants.
The Korean-based manufacturer has been given approval by CESG, the organisation that controls which handsets can be used by the Government. Devices that run on Android 4.2.2 or later have been judged to meet Government requirements.
Young Lee, executive vice-president of Samsung's European telecommunications operation, said: 'Samsung is delighted that CESG has recognised the commitment of Samsung Android as meeting the strict requirements mandated by UK public sector use.'
