Mobile Phone Xchange (MPX) is rebranding as Brightstar Buyback and Trade-in Europe.
The company, which was bought by Brightstar in September 2012, said the rebranding reflects the company’s expanded reach and focus on commercial mobile device channels.
The new name will be used for all commercial buyback and trade-in services across Europe and will take effect by 25 November, coinciding with the company’s relocation to new premises in Elstree.
Established in 2005 MPX has contracts with mobile operators and retailers in the UK, Germany, Holland, and Spain.
MD Marc Walters said: ‘Brightstar has brought global breadth and strength to our operations and we anticipate 2014 being a year for expansion in all areas.
‘We look forward to leveraging Brightstar’s presence and credibility across the world to attract new customers and grow in the region.’
The rebranding sees a new web address for business customers and partners: www.brightstarbuyback.co.uk; and The Mobile Phone Xchange name will be replaced with Brightstar Buyback and Trade-in on customer and partners’ buy -back portals.
The Mobile Phone Xchange direct-to-consumer buyback website: http://www.mobilephonexchange.co.uk, will remain active.
Walters said: ‘It makes good business sense to keep it a familiar name and site in place for consumers seeking to trade-in their used devices.’
