Exertis Micro-P doubles office space as it guns for growth

Exertis Micro-P has doubled its office space in Stoke-on-Trent in preparation for “tremendous” growth this year.

The company is planning a major recruitment drive with plans to take on “significant” numbers of sales personnel at the Stoke-on-Trent offices.

The new offices will house the Exertis Micro-P’s and Conect’s northern teams, including its accessories team. It will also house Exertis Security and Exertis GEM Design Services.

The £1.5m new building, which is 10,500 square feet, is double the size of the previous premises.

The distributor said the move is part of “plans for continued expansion in mobility, unified communication and managed security services, increase of its nationwide footprint and growth of its brand. “

Gerry O'Keeffe, managing director at Exertis UK & Ireland Group, (pictured)said: “This move is strategic for the development of Exertis. In terms of space, we now have the room to grow our teams, and we can dedicate even more resources to our customers, bringing them to us for planning meetings, vendor training days and more.

“This new office brings our company closer together under the Exertis brand, creating tighter working relationships, strengthening internal relationships, and allowing more communication between departments. 2014 is set to be a year of tremendous growth for Exertis Micro-P.”

“We have invested £1.5m in purchasing this site, which is testament to our long terms to build significant sales capacity in the Stoke-On-Trent area. We now employ over sixty people in the area and see it as a very promising hinterland for the recruitment of quality sales people”.

The new Stoke office also has advanced training and support facilities, including two fully equipped large boardrooms for meetings and interactive planning sessions, a training room with full resources, and is the home of the Exertis Micro-P Mobile Evaluation Scheme launched two years ago.

Exertis Micro-P intends to grow each of the teams now resident at the new Stoke office as well as use the new space for vendor training days and meetings for both internal staff and customers.
