Tech Data Mobile reveals Peter Hubbard as new UK and Ireland MD
Tech Data Mobile has revealed Peter Hubbard as its new UK and Ireland managing director.
Hubbard replaces Stephen Nolan, who will take up his previous role within European mobile vendor relations. Nolan was appointed following the exit of Jim Michel.
The distributor has seen a number of key executive moves in the last few weeks. In mid-January Gareth Lewis joined as sales general manager for network operators, while Andy Smith became general manager key accounts. Parent company Tech Data has announced that Andy Gass has become its MD UK and Ireland after spending two years as SVP.
Hubbard said: ‘I am excited by the new challenge that Tech Data Mobile brings for me, this is a very key business for Tech Data. My focus will be on capitalising on our opportunities in this high growth area. I would like to thank Stephen Nolan for his excellent work in leading Tech Data Mobile UK and Ireland through an important period in its development and wish him the best as he returns to his European role.’
Andy Gass added: ‘I am pleased to be leading our operations in the UK and Ireland at this important time for the business. It is vital that we draw on the experience and expertise we have within our organisation to ensure that all parts of our business maintain their progression and growth.”
‘Peter Hubbard’s appointment as MD, Tech Data Mobile UK and Ireland will help ensure that we have strong leadership in place for this important and strategic business. I would like to thank Peter for his leadership of our UK and Ireland business during the past two years.’
