Daisy Connect on acquisition trail

O2 Centre of Excellence dealer Daisy Connect is on the acquisition trail with plans to drive growth by over 20% this year.

The move follows the integration of the direct arm of MoCo Communications alongside Daisy Group’s previous acquisitions of Spiritel and Housing Comms to create Daisy Connect.

The integration strategy was led by sales director Ian Robinson (pictured), who was MD at MoCo before the company was sold to Daisy Group in June last year.

The mobile, fixed line and data telecommunications division is driving for both organic and acquisitive growth this year. Daisy Connect added 12,000 connections to its base in 2013. It is now targeting 20% growth over the next 12 months which will take its current base of 36,000 connections to over 42,000.

Robinson told Mobile that Daisy Connect was already talking to around four dealerships interested in selling their bases but it was keen to expand its search. The division is looking for dealers from any geographical region, of any size and connections with any network.

He added: ‘There are no restrictions. It is about the fit and structure of the operation. We want to grow nationally but with a local presence. So we are looking at opportunities. There are a lot of people thinking of getting out of the business, particularly with increasing pressure on margins, and we are interested in talking to them to see if they are the right fit for us.’
