Brightstar 20:20 went above and beyond in its role as an Official Call Centre for Sport Relief 2014 by holding fundraising events, celebrations and activities at its Crewe premises last Friday (21 March).
More than 80 members of staff volunteered to take donation calls, while over three-quarters of its 400-strong staff got involved in a number of activities held throughout the day.
Mark Nightingale, director of support services, literally went the extra mile and was crowned ‘King of Fundraising’ after a 17-mile run he completed raised over £800 for Sport Relief (see above).
Brightstar 20:20 hosted sporting challenges including Man vs Food, Bake Off and the Managers Challenge. Employees brought their families along to celebrate as the distribution giant put on a disco and penalty shoot-out against Stoke City mascot Pottermus.
Managing director Jim Michel (below) said: ‘I am immensely proud of our company and staff. All members of staff got behind the charity event, proving that we can all aspire to give something back. It just shows that we offer more than just mobile service solutions; together our company can make a big difference to others.’
