Industry veteran Tanny Jeffrey in senior role talks with Midland
Midland Communications is in talks to appoint Tanny Jeffrey in a senior position.
Sources say Jeffrey, who was formerly Tanny Price, is expected to play a major role in transforming what is seen by industry players as the sleeping giant of the mobile distribution industry.
Jeffrey is a highly respected industry player with a wealth of experience. Her former positions include 11 years at Avenir where she became MD in 2007, head of distribution at Yes Telecom which she joined in 2009, after it was bought by Vodafone and renamed Vodafone Partner Services. Jeffrey's next post was at Brightstar Europe as its European marketing director. In January 2011 she left Brightstar to take up the role of business solutions director at Shebang.
In February 2012 Jeffrey quit Shebang to set up her own business consultancy Pomegranate Soup. One of her first tasks was as consultant on the creation of Exertis Micro-P’s Conect airtime and unified comms service, which launched in March 2013.
One industry source said: ‘Tanny is really effective and will bring a huge amount of experience to Midland. She has the drive and ability to really transform the business which is something of a sleeping giant.’
