Maintel reports revenue boost of 52% in H1
Unified comms provider Maintel Holdings has seen group revenue grow by 52% this year with profit before tax up by 21% to £2.9m.
The company attributes the record growth levels to increased confidence in the economy which has led to a rise in the number of companies upgrading their communication requirements and a number of significant wins in the education, health and retail sectors.
The move to IP technologies, which have led to more opportunities in data, VoIP and SIP, has also helped boost growth at the company.
In terms of mobile services, Maintel has been adding larger corporate customers, who are seeing the value of mobile working, resulting in an 11% increase in revenue compared with the first half of 2013.
Maintel said the launch of a new managed services proposition had also gained traction with ‘two significant customers’ on board from the second half of 2014.
Its acquisition of Datapoint last year has also contributed to growth in the equipment and professional services sector with Datapoint now fully integrated into the group.
Eddie Buxton, CEO, said: ‘This is a positive set of results for the Group, with growth in the core Maintel business complemented by a full six months’ contribution from Datapoint. The integration of Datapoint is now complete and we remain open to further acquisitions should they provide clear value to shareholders.’
