Unified comms provider Plan.com is doubling its office space ahead of a major recruitment drive to boost its sales and business development teams.
The company, which already employs 30 staff, is on the hunt for new staff following rapid growth of its partner base that has seen 130 dealers sign up since Plan.com launched in March.
Plan.com co-founder and director Keith Curran (pictured) told Mobile the company is planning to build a ‘dream team’ of hand-picked top level sales and business development executives to help its partners drive growth.
The company was launched this year by Curran, industry veteran and co-founder of Yes Telecom, and private equity investor Dan Craddock. It targets mobile, fixed and IT resellers, offering a mix of unified comms services, a state of the art dealer portal, greater control of commissions and extensive account management support. It aims to have 20,000 connections on its platform within a year.
Curran said: ‘Six months into our launch, we have already signed up over 130 dealers and are watching this grow impressively month on month. We’re all about providing our partners with the best solutions and are looking for more business development and internal sales managers to support this growth.’
He said the portal was playing a key role in the company’s rapid growth. He explained: ‘The portal is making the difference and we have only just touched the surface of what it has to offer. We have some very exciting developments lined up over the next few months, developments we know no one in the industry currently provides. This is what makes us different, it’s an exciting time for Plan.com.’
He added: ‘We’ve some big announcements lined up over the next few months as we continue to expand on our state of the art portal system and push the partner experience to the next level.
‘Our team are chomping at the bit to push these latest developments out and as always we want to ensure we have the resources in place to support our dealers, after all this is a true partnership.’
The company has also unveiled its latest advertising campaign which focuses on Plan’s partners and their view of the company.
‘We’ve always said we would put the dealers back in control and that’s exactly what we’ve done,’ said Curran. ‘Our team spends a lot of time travelling the country, meeting with our dealers and the feedback has been great. They loved our first ad campaign so we wanted to get them involved in this one and there is no better feedback than hearing it from the horse’s mouth.’
He added: ‘The fact that our partners brought along their customers to feature with them in the ads is testament to the trust our partners have in us. In this industry dealers do not put their customers in front of their core suppliers. This shows that they trust us not to poach their most precious asset. It is that ethos of trust and transparency that sets us apart from the rank and file.’
