‘BT’s re-entry to increase price competition’: Andrew Boden Predictions 2015

Andrew Boden former managing director at Mainline Digital Communications:

‘In 2015, we anticipate the high levels of customer demand for EE to be maintained, with the network’s significant lead in 4G networks also continuing to attract high levels of interest from the channel.

‘The indirect channel will continue to be important to the mobile networks as it is widely recognised that it can provide a more responsive service to business customers who value a more tailored support model. As such, the networks will continue to evolve and improve their capability to meet the needs of the channel in order to deliver premium support.

‘The increased momentum in the market for converged services will provide a major opportunity for those dealers who are prepared to invest in building up IT knowhow, or forming alliances with IT specialists.

‘We expect BT’s re-entry into the mobile market is likely to increase price competition as it pursues market share grab on the back of triple and quad play propositions.’
