Santok acquisition drive to feed ‘global appetite for technology’
Santok has unveiled it is planning a number of acquisitions, claiming ‘there is more room for consolidation’.
The manufacturer explained the emergence of new markets, coupled with the momentum from developed economies, has boosted consumer demand for smartphones and tablets. Santok described this as a growing ‘global appetite for technology’, fuelled by countries investing in communications infrastructure.
Santo claims its acquisition drive will see it capitalise on the ‘convergence of innovation and consumer demand’, to drive product innovation and industry consolidation. The company explained that as consumer access to technology grows, it will look to become a ‘leading global player’ in early and late adopting markets.
CEO Jay Pau said: ‘We have a clearly defined strategy for expansion and will capitalise on international growth markets, by committing to acquisitions. We believe there is more room for consolidation within the technology industry as innovation and consumer demand converges.’
