True Telecom takes ‘first steps’ from B2B to B2C

True Telecom has revealed its ambitions to become a major player in the consumer mobile market.

The reseller has launched a SIM only deal, describing the move as the ‘first step’ in its consumer mobile strategy. True Telecom claims that the consumer market is an area that it will look to expand in over the next few years, following on from its B2B mobile, fixed line and broadband offerings.

CEO Stuart Griffiths claims the move away from B2B will enable the company to become a ‘major player in consumer mobile’.

He said: ‘Offering True Telecom customers a fantastic value 4G data deal is a great way to start our journey towards establishing ourselves as a major player in consumer mobile. These excellent value deals are a thank you from us, to loyal True Telecom customers.’

The SIM only deal will be available to True Telecom’s existing customers, targeting those who opt to keep their existing phone. The service will offer unlimited minutes and texts, with 1GB of 4G data for a monthly fee of £14.99, as part of a 24-month contract. The reseller claims it will also look to avoid bill shock, with its mobile offering to include caps on monthly spend.
