O2 has signed a deal with Microsoft to offer the new Surface 3 4G tablet exclusively to its enterprise and small business customers.
The network has built on its existing partnership with Microsoft to offer businesses the new tablet for three months, becoming the first UK telecoms company to do so.
O2 will initially launch the Surface Pro 3 4G on a 24 month contract from July 3, with the Surface Pro 3 to be added to its managed mobility portfolio next month.
The Surface 3 allows customers to work remotely, with the capabilities of both a tablet and a laptop. Ben Dowd, O2 business director, explained the latest technology needs to be at the heart of every business.
He said: ‘We’re proud to be the first to market in the UK with the Microsoft Surface 3 4G. At O2 we’re always looking for ways to give our customers the best in class digital products, services and applications, so they can experience the benefits of having the latest technology at the heart of their business. The Microsoft Surface family is a fantastic example of this and I hope our customers are as excited as we are to start using the new devices.’
