24 Seven are planning a major push into the reseller channel with the launch of its national roaming proposition.
The unified comms dealer explained it will use b2b channels to promote Jump, its new MVNO. Jump provides users with a roaming SIM card that switches between O2, Vodafone and EE’s mobile network, depending on which signal is strongest.
Describing this as the first UK SIM of its kind, MD David Samuel told Mobile there has been a huge demand for a national roaming service in the b2b space.
24 Seven will work with resellers to bring this product to market, recently appointing a reseller channel manager to build relationships within the channel.
Samuel said: ‘In the past we have had relationships with telecoms resellers but this is strategic shift in focus for the company to hire someone to manage those relationships and grow that side of the business.
‘This is a new direction for us, in the past there wasn’t really a need for it but with the current new product set that’s the direction we needed to take and resellers were approaching us.
‘The reseller channel opens up new opportunities for 24 seven, resellers have been there and have done very nicely but now we can give that market a bit more focus, we see it as a root to growth.
‘We’re already got some resellers on board but looking to make new connections, when we started making noise about Jump we were getting a lot more enquires from the channel than from customers and resellers see it as an exciting new product. Once we get to the stage where resellers are coming to us then it’s something we need to respond to.’
