Brightstar has added five new senior staff members to the business. The appointments see the distributor create a two new positions: Head of accessories and head of B2B.
Former Argos employee Elan Elton joins Brightstar in the new role of head of accessories. He is tasked with the responsibility of overseeing all accessory related product and portfolio strategies. In his previous role at the high street retailer Elton was the buying manager responsible for the accessories and headphones category.
The newly created role of head of B2B will be filled by Trevor Molloy with the task of expanding Brightstar’s reseller channel. Molloy has 13 year of industry experience having worked in a sales capacity for both Vodafone and Phones 4u.
Brightstar appoints Benoit Scheen president of EMEA
John-Daniel Whyte joins as propositions manager and will be responsible for helping Brightstar grow in emerging product categories as well as realising the revenue potential within existing vendor partnerships.
Ex Huawei man Ian Gale will take the position of account director at the distributor, he will manage hardware sales into a number of retail channels. Also joining as account director is Adam McCormick who will take responsibility for accessory sales into retail channels.
