Vector has inked an exclusive distribution deal with Exertis as it continues its drive into the UK wearables market.
A new entrant into the wearables space, smartwatch manufacturer Vector revealed earlier this year that its distribution strategy would take advantage of e-commerce websites and partners. CEO Joe Santana explained at the time that the company as looking to mobile as a way to market its product in the UK, claiming it opened ‘a new window of opportunity’.
Exertis will now offer the manufacturer’s latest smartwatch range to its dealers and resellers, claiming each device in the collection has a 30 day battery life. The distributor believes its partners can benefit from the smartwatch’s multi OS compatibility, explaining the wearable can outlast a smartphone.
‘Vector Watch has created devices that work across iOS, Android and Windows smartphones, said Joe Officer, Head of Exertis Accessories Division, Attach.
‘These products are almost timeless; they look like regular watches so will not go out of style in a few months, and they will outlast your smartphone contract and be transferable to your next mobile device and beyond.
Smart home advantage
The distie deal comes as Exertis announced it would use its ‘exclusive relationships’ to give its partners the advantage in the smart home market. The distributor explained that technology within the ‘smart ecosystem’ is a natural progression into wearables, claiming that those offering mobile solutions are ‘ideally placed’.
