Rainbow Comms has secured a £250k contract to further its M2M proposition.
The deal, inked with Northern Ireland based firm Express Distribution Services (EDS), will see the unified comms dealer offer vehicle tracking solutions, continuing its push into M2M.
The agreement will see EDS exclusively use Rainbow to manage vehicle tracking and driver monitoring, relying on the unified comms dealer in the provision of over 50 SIM cards. This is an area which Rainbow’s head of Mobile Paul Lawther described last year as one that goes ‘hand in hand’ with its mobile and M2M proposition.
Speaking to Mobile at the time, Lawther claimed that it is the responsibility of all unified comms dealers to spearhead to drive towards M2M. The company’s deal with EDS marks the latest step in that direction.
Speaking about EDS contract, Stuart Carson, director of Sales and Marketing at Rainbow Communications said: ‘When we first met with EDS, they explained the issues they were encountering and the difficulties of having a number of telecoms providers.
‘The fact that EDS has already noticed an increase in its efficiency pays testimony to the collaborative approach that we use when working with our clients with the common focus of providing the most efficient, reliable and cost effective telecoms solution possible and we look forward to continuing this successful partnership in the future.’
