Excalibur has acquired IT company Devision in a bid to scale up its managed services capabilities.
The takeover follows a number of IT related acquisitions for the unified comms dealer over the last year as part of Excalibur’s strategy to place greater on building services around mobile.
CEO James Phipps previously revealed to Mobile that the majority of Excalibur’s growth came from IT and fixed line, stating that these would be a key focus for the business in 2016.
He expressed confidence that enhancing the company’s capabilities around mobile and moving into niche markets will enable the company to keep its footing amid consolidation in the mobile space.
Speaking at Excalibur’s latest takeover, Phipps said: ‘Like ourselves, Devision provide managed services, where they have a very good reputation. The acquisition brings us new customers in some exciting new sectors, together with highly skilled members of the Devision team”.
‘With Devision, we have again been very careful to gain the right cultural fit. Aspart of our sustained growth plan, this latest acquisition gives our new and existing customers even more in the way of first class support and services.’
