Tech Data Mobile is set to launch a salary sacrifice scheme.
Salary sacrifice is one of a number of services Tech Data Mobile has planned to offer over the next year. Speaking to Mobile recently, MD Matt Child explained the importance of spreading risk over a several propositions, stating that the distributor would look to add to its services portfolio in 2016.
Employee benefit schemes have grown in popularity, with Exertis predicting the salary sacrifice market to grow by 300%. Benefits firms Personal Group acquired MVNO Shebang last year to boost its salary sacrifice capabilities. Busy Bee Benefits also saw potential in the market and partnered with Voice Mobile to claim a share of the salary scheme space.
TDM teams up
For Tech Data Mobile’s launch, the distributor has teamed up with employee solutions provider Grass Roots to use its free Phonescheme platform.
Tech Data explained that Phonescheme would make it easy to access and manage the salary sacrifice programme. The distributor said it would be holding a webinar event to introduce the scheme to its resellers and educate on how it can boost savings.
Simon Smale, director, Business Development and Services at the distributor said: ‘The Grass Roots Phonescheme is a great idea and it delivers benefits in many ways. As well as giving both employees and employers the opportunity to save money, it can help sales staff to develop a real enthusiasm for products that will help them convey the benefits to their own customers and sell more smartphones.’
