24 Seven has inked a major partnership with Sony to feature its national roaming SIMs in the manufacturer’s smartphones.
The unified comms dealer’s Jump proposition, which switches between Vodafone, EE and O2 depending on which is strongest, will be compatible with the new Sony Xperia X and XA devices. 24 Seven explained the collaboration will also cover existing Z series devices as well as the Sony Xperia E5.
Warren Saunders, Head of Sony Mobile, UK & Ireland, said: ‘We are pleased to be working with 24 Seven in a partnership that offers the best connectivity on our best models. Matching the Jump SIM with our high quality products means we can offer a truly compelling premium telephony solution to business customers.’
Next step forward
The news marks the latest in a string of significant collaborations for the 24 Seven, having inked a national roaming deal with UK manufacturer Kazam earlier this year. Most recently the dealer managed to secure a number of major UK networks to offer M2M solutions across the board, including on its Jump SIM.
MD David Samuel described the Sony deal as the next step for the business. He said: ‘This is a fantastic step forward for our business, and I am thrilled that Sony has recognised the benefits of Jump for British businesses.
‘We’ve established purpose and place for 24 Seven in a competitive marketplace, and this unique partnership highlights the extensive advantages of our offer. Thousands of our customers are now better equipped with tools that help them to do better than the competition. Mobile coverage has long been an emotive issue, and developing our offering in this way means we can continue to offer industry-leading prices, service and connectivity.’
