Ram raiders target Data Select

Police are hunting ram raiders who used a mini-bus to smash their way into Data Select’s headquarters.

Thames Valley Police were called to Data Select’s HQ in Marlow, Buckinghamshire at 12.10am last Thursday (6 March) where they found a mini-bus had been rammed through metal shutters into a warehouse.

A police spokeswoman said: ‘It appears a mini-bus was used to break through metal shutters into an empty warehouse.

‘The bus was then used to break through two further internal walls. It is believed the intruders fled in a silver Audi A3.

‘It is likely they were looking for something specific, but were unable to find it as it appears as though nothing was taken.’

The incident is the fourth time thieves have targeted Data Select’s HQ in a little over one month, including one incident where thieves made off with £20,000 of high-end phones.

Data Select is a leading distributor of mobile phones, accessories and airtime, and is part of the Phones International Group owned by Peter Jones of Dragons’ Den fame.

No one from Data Select was available for comment.
