3 drops Unique as airtime distributor
Unique’s woes deepened this week when 3 dropped the distributor as one of its airtime suppliers.
Unique has been the subject of a management receivership order for the last two months while HMRC investigates its parent company IGB.
The lastest setback from 3 will come as a blow to the distributor after staff were not received their last month’s pay, and have been locked out of the company premises in Hayes since February.
A court hearing will take place on Friday where the Chantrey Vellacott, the accountants placed in charge of IGB’s assets, will make an application to have Unique sold or closed down.
Mobile understands that if Chantrey Vellacott is granted permission to sell Unique the distribution’s management team may consider the option of a management buy-out
