Dextra sales director Simpson heading to O2
Dextra Solutions sales director Angie Simpson is joining O2, Mobile can reveal.
Simpson has been with the Crewe-based 20:20 Mobile Group for two-and-a-half years, but is now leaving to join O2 as regional head of SME sales for south Wales and the south west of England.
The move will take place this summer, but the exact date is yet to be confirmed.
Simpson (pictured) has been in the mobile industry for 11 years, having previously worked at Hugh Symons Communications for eight years.
Simpson said: ‘O2 is a fantastic business and it is one I have had an eye on for a long time. They have some great strategies and are very innovative at the moment.
‘Furthermore, this is an opportunity for me to move back down south and be closer to home. It will be sad to leave. There is a lot going on here at the moment.
‘I have had a great time at Dextra and am leaving on excellent terms with the current management, and am looking forward to a new role at O2.’
Dextra’s managing director, James Browning, said: ‘Angie has contributed to the airtime business via her knowledge and understanding of the market, as well as providing strong leadership to the commercial team.
‘I would like to thank Angie for this and wish her all the best in the new role.’
Simpson has played a key role in helping Dextra shift its focus from consumer to business connections.
