Which company is next in Fone Logistics’ sights?

Following the news that Fone Logistics is eyeing up a second acquisition, Mobile looked at possible targets in the distributor's sights.

The Carphone-owned distie has been the source of takeover speculation in recent months. There is no natural fit to Carphone’s core business and would be a superb fit for Fone Logistics’ ambitions. But would Fone Log be able to pick HSC up on the cheap?

Redstone is another distie that has recently been linked with takeover bids. The Redstone Group has a wide range of interests across fixed line, technology and managed solutions. The board is believed to be open to offers for its mobile arm.

The Kent-based distie is regularly mentioned as up for sale. It doesn’t have anywhere near the same scale as Redstone or HSC, but with airtime supply contracts for 3, O2 and Orange it could be a useful addition for a distributor keen to increase its share of the market.
