Andy Tow will replace Tanny Price as Avenir MD
Avenir has appointed Andy Tow as the UK managing director of the distributor after the recent departure of Tanny Price.
Tow joins Avenir from Dataselect where he headed up the Mobile Managed Services division. Prior to this he was CEO of Unique distribution.
Tanny Price will leave the company after four years as managing director to embark on a position at Vodafone in January.
Tow said: ‘Avenir has always been a progressive company and pioneered development within the market, from proving the tangible benefits in B2B when the majority doubted they existed, to seizing new opportunities in related sectors. This bold approach will continue under my tenure.’
Tow hinted at the future of Avenir, he said: ‘We will further develop our relationships with all five networks, and we will continue to focus our efforts on the IT reseller market, solidifying our existing strong partnerships. We will also look to learn from the achievements of the Avenir Group, identifying some of the service and product offerings that have proven successful in Europe, but have yet to be replicated in the UK.’
Jean-Daniel Beurnier, group chairman of Avenir, said: Despite the continued consolidation within the mobile distribution market, Avenir has time and again demonstrated its ability to buck the downturn, and I am confident that this trend will continue under Andy’s leadership.’
