Phonebox Communications, the mobile communications
specialist, has bought Wire Communications for an undisclosed sum.
The move will see Wire’s office and staff working
alongside Phonebox’s five existing offices. The deal forms part of plans for
expansion that will include an increase in its sales force.
Phonebox said the deal was ‘accelerated by the current
economic climate’, as smaller dealerships seek to align themselves with a ‘greater
market force’. It hopes to consolidate its customer base and geographical reach
through the acquisition.
Wire Communications founder, Claire Daniels, will take
now on the role of Phonebox business manager.
