Avenir slashes 10 jobs in Vodafone division
Avenir has made 10 people redundant as it trims its Vodafone division following the loss of the network in February.

The 10 employees held customer retention and care of end user roles in Avenir’s Vodafone division. The distributor will stop connecting Vodafone on 15 May.

Avenir was dropped by Vodafone in February, when the network said it was looking to ‘rationalise’ its distribution partners and work more closely with its dealers through its own service provider Yes Telecom.

Vodafone terminated Fone Logistics in mid 2006, and followed up by cutting out Hugh Symons later in the year. The operator bought Yes Telecom in July 2006 for £30m.

Avenir could not confirm or deny the redundancies as this story went online.
