3 cuts b2b upfront payment in a bid to improve connection quality

3 has moved to a deferred payment system to improve connection quality.

Upfront payment for dealer and distributor b2b connections has now been reduced by 10%.

The reduction will be taken from the commission paid at six months of a customer’s contract, if still connected.

The new system started on 1 June, but some distributors, such as Fone Logistics and Avenir, are yet to convey the change to their dealer base.

One distributor said: ‘3’s acquisitions commissions are strong – they are trying to improve quality and allowing themselves some security.’
