Chitter Chatter cuts jobs as focus shifts to online and retail sales
London based T-Mobile dealer Chitter Chatter has made an unknown number of redundancies due to a change of focus at the company.
Chitter Chatter holds T-Mobile specialist status, which means it exclusively stocks the operator’s products, but it has decided to shift its focus to online and retail sales at the cost of several jobs.
Job cuts have predominantly been made in the telesales division of the company, based in Croydon.
Ben Willis, a director at Chitter Chatter, said: ‘Over the last 12 months we have expanded the workforce by 30 to 40 people, and we are still hiring retail staff. However, we now have a smaller, more focused team in telesales.’
The dealer has nine stores across its retail estate and one staffer who previously worked in telesales has been relocated to the Walthamstow branch.
In line with the new retail approach, Chitter Chatter has recently opened a branch in Fulham and launched a new website called Bestsimdeals.co.uk.
