Bromley based dealer launches b2b franchise programme
Mobile 5 has become the first dealer to start a franchise business in the b2b indirect channel.
The Avenir O2 Approved partner and Yes Telecom gold partner, which provides mobile, fixed line and vehicle tracking services, has already kick-started its expansion programme.
The franchise scheme has added four partners over the past week and now has a total of 12. The Bromley based dealer hopes to add another eight by the end of 2009, and reach 60 over the next few years.
Partners are being provided with business cards, email accounts, brochures and presentations to help them do business and meet the minimum performance criteria.
Mobile 5 MD John Koumpan said: ‘We have a very clear understanding of what we want – people from a strong b2b background in mobile.
‘The biggest challenge in b2b is getting in front of the customer, and the franchisees will be relying on their own skills and determination to make it a success.’
Partners will be given up to 85% commission on sales after a management fee has been deducted, which will vary according to the deal.
Koumpan said: ‘We don’t mark up handsets or tamper with commission – it is paid twice per month and we forward on all volume bonuses and revenue share, minus the management fee.’
The franchise plan has been in development for the last two years and was piloted before it was launched.
Franchisees are now operating in Manchester, Scotland and Birmingham. Koumpan is keen to ensure there is no conflict of interest between the partners by having them spread across the country.
