Get Connected to transfer ongoing revenue scheme to staff
Get Connected has told staff it is considering switching to an ongoing commission rate.
The Orange direct dealer, which currently has a 58 strong retail estate, informed staff last week that it was looking at the new system.
The dealer said it was waiting for a more detailed breakdown of customer spend from Orange before it implements the new scheme.
Staff commission is currently based on a percentage of gross profit. The new scheme would mean staff get approximately 1% of the ARPU for each customer on top of their basic salary.
Get Connected said the move would help ‘align’ the network’s needs with the selling patterns of its staff.
Orange moved to a revenue share system on 1 April, with 90% of share payments up front, 8% ongoing based on actual ARPU, and 2% ongoing for upgrades.
Get Connected general manager Ben French said: ‘We’re looking at paying staff a portion of the ongoing but we need the exact figures from Orange to be able to do it.’
