Mainline adds sales controller

Mainline adds sales controller

Orange distribution partner Mainline has appointed Michelle Berry, a former Orange channel manager, in the role of sales and marketing controller.

Berry, who is due to take on the role imminently, will be responsible for marketing activities and will focus on existing business customers.

She will be working with Gail Hollinshead, director of dealer sales, who is in charge of new and existing business.

It is hoped the appointment of Berry will bring together field sales in both divisions.

The distributor launched a £1m dealer development fund in March 2009 and
has recruited a number of dealers on the back of it.

The money is being spent on new premises for dealers, recruiting new sales staff and also training and marketing.

Mainline, which is part owned by Orange, has been running an ongoing initiative for the past few months, offering dealers a £15 marketing support payment.
