20:20 confirms fourth round of job cuts
Distributor 20:20 has confirmed that it will be making its fourth round of redundancies due to ‘continued integration’ of the business.
A 20:20 spokesman said: ‘20:20 can confirm that there have been a small number of redundancies, the majority of which were voluntary. This has been driven by further opportunities to increase efficiencies on the back of the merger of 20:20 Logistics, Dextra solutions and Caudwell Logistics into one larger company last year.’
‘20:20 Mobile is Europe’s leading distributor of mobile phones and accessories and employs over 1500 people worldwide.’
20:20 managing director, James Browning, said ‘Successful distribution businesses must always ensure they operate on as efficient a cost base as possible. Following the successful merger of the businesses last year we have made a small reduction in headcount, which fortunately was largely done via voluntary redundancy.’
