No revenue share under 3's b2b Partnership Programme

3 will not introduce revenue share under its new b2b Partnership Programme, due to be launched in January.

3 head of business Paul Foley told Mobile that it will not introduce revenue share ‘as it is known’, but will be introducing commissions that ‘recognise quality business over the term’.

Commissions will be tweaked rather than radically changed, said Foley. He added: ‘We are not going to move away massively from where we are today. We pay quite generously upfront and pay a premium for quality customers.’

Under the new framework, dealers will receive period payments over a two year term.

3 is also doubling its customer care, account management and retention team, with 29 new staff. Five new channel managers have also been hired in a move that sees 3 working much more closely with its partners.

The Partnership Programme is central to 3’s plans to double its SME market penetration in 2010.
