Micro-P gets distribution deal for Apple
Mobile and IT distributor Micro-P has secured a distribution deal to provide Apple's retail stores with Bluetooth headsets.

The distributor will supply the shops with headsets made by Kensington, Jawbone and Jabra as part of the agreement.

The deal was secured just before Christmas, but it is unknown how long the contract will last for.

Micro-P MD Gerry O'Keeffe said: 'We are delighted to be working with an iconic retailer such as Apple.

'The breadth of our portfolio across IT products and mobile accessories gives us an opportunity to simplify the supply chain for Apple by expanding the products offered to their customers but through a smaller number of suppliers.

'Over recent months we have made considerable progress in broadening the range of accessories that we can offer customers and have recently added Altec Lansing, Plantronics, Jabra, Jawbone and SanDisk to our existing smartphone accessory range.

'We are looking forward to introducing these suppliers' products to our extensive retail customer base as well as promoting the products aggressively through our IT, communication and mobile customer bases during 2010.'
