Micro-P boosts mobile team and secures Samsung contract
IT and mobile distributor, Micro-P has expanded its mobile team with the appointment of John Doughty as manager of the mobile division.
Doughty will report directly to business development director, Simon Woodman, and will continue work with his consultancy, Rocket Science.
The distributor has also recruited former 20:20 Mobile key account manager, Jane Griffiths, to head up its new northern sales division for mobile.
Meanwhile, the distributor has secured a new contract with Samsung to sell its PBX and communications solutions.
The products will deliver advanced voice, data and wireless communications in a single, secure IP platform.
The distributor will continue to focus on convergence this year.
Micro-P managing director, Gerry O’Keffee said: ‘Samsung are an important partner for Micro-P and so we are delighted to be able to add their portfolio of communication product which includes their award winning OfficeServ 7000 PBX range, to further extend our comms solutions.
‘Voice and telephony is a real focus for our business this year and this deal is crucial for us in strengthening our reseller offering and helping us deliver our objectives for the year.’
As a result of the deal, Micro -P will launch a Samsung Centre of Excellence to provide both customer service and technical support.
To boost the service, Micro-P has recruited technical support manager John Bird and Samsung business manager Kelly Maynard.
