Nil Naik exits Shebang

Go Mobile managing director, Nil Naik, has left the company to pursue his own business interests.

The director of Shebang’s retail branch was drafted in by Shebang managing director Iain Humphrey July last year to head up Go Mobile expansion plans.

At the time of his appointment, Naik and Humphrey were confident that they would grow the retail estate to include 100 shops.

Naik left the company on 26 February and will be focussing on other business models outside of mobile.

Iain Humphrey has now taken the helm of Go Mobile and will be overseeing future developments.

The Go Mobile estate now includes 43 stores, 26 of which are former Intek stores now trading under the name of Go Mobile.

The Intek acquisition was seen at the time as being a step towards the goal of 100 shops.

The move to close the Go Mobile stores was taken in anticipation of the company going into insolvency and the remaining stores will continue trading under Shebang branding.

Shebang was unavailable to comment.
