Gamma Telecom sees a rise in gross profits and debt reduction

Business communications solutions provider, Gamma Telecom has seen a 4% rise in its gross profits from £32m to £33.4m in its 2009 financial results.

The dealer and MVNO provider recently posted its full year financial results for 2009.

Gamma Telecom has a MVNO with 3 called Gamma Mobile which is targeted at SMEs.

As well as seeing a rise in gross profit, it has also seen a reduction in its net debt of £4.1m from £5.7m to £1.6m.

The number of active channel partners selling Gamma Telecom’s products grew by 8% to 550.

The business also saw a profit before interest and tax of £2.6m and an EBITDA of £6.5m.

Gamma Telecom CEO, Bob Falconer said: ‘These are an excellent set of results during a recessionary period, particularly given that the volumes for legacy voice products have been falling. The Gamma business is currently in great shape and we are almost debt free.

‘We do appreciate the business that our growing band of channel partners has chosen to place with us, and we have been impressed by the strength and durability of the channel during an exceptionally tough year.’
