Fone Solutions eyes expansion
UK dealer Fone Solutions is aiming to become the country's biggest reseller.
The move comes after merging with two Liverpool companies to form Fone Solutions Telecoms Group.
Fone Solutions merged with Corporate Mobiles and Base Communications in March, when the group became fully operational.
The new group's plans include the acquisition of another company within six months, with more to follow.
Former Fone Solutions chief and now MD of the merged group Nick Underwood-Lea said: 'We have a roadmap we will see ourselves there in the next six months with another acquisition into the group. We will be four companies and growing.'
The company is also planning to treble sales and double its number of employees.
The group, which manages around 500 connections per month, currently connects Vodafone, Orange and, to a lesser extent, T-Mobile.
Underwood-Lea said: 'We connect Vodafone as a group, the other networks will be added shortly. We are a group, and deal and trade as a group. We have a combined target.'
Director Stephen Halligan said: 'There are loads of dealers out there we aim to be the biggest Vodafone reseller.'
The company is targeting SMEs. 'Before, it was hard to compete, but we've got a lot of contracts coming up,' said Halligan. 'We are looking at companies wanting 200 to 250 handsets.'
Director Gareth Penman added: 'We are now able to target customers that we havent been able to before.'
The group is an accredited BlackBerry partner, and also offers a lone-worker solution.
Underwood-Lea said: 'Yes Telecom is aligning itself with key partners, giving us the strength to push forward. The sky's the limit.'
The company is now looking to team up with a system partner. Sales director Andrew Rowley said: 'We have a few partners we can use, but we are looking for a real quality partner, ideally with a customer base of 600 to 700.'
