Fone Solutions dumped by Vodafone

Vodafone has dropped Yes Telecom strategic partner Fone Solutions amid concern around the financial stability of the dealer.

In a statement, Vodafone said: ‘Yes Telecom has taken the decision to end its partnership with Fone Solutions. Yes Telcom will look to secure as many of its Vodafone customers with other key partners to avoid minimum disruption to their service. Yes and Vodafone are committed to working closely with all of their indirect partners.’

The Newcastle based dealer merged with two other Liverpool based dealers, Corporate Mobiles and Base Communications, in March this year, forming the company Fone Solutions Telecoms Group.

Nick Underwood Lea, who has also worked at Carphone Warehouse and Fone Logisitics, is one of the shareholders of the company.

At the time of the merger, Fone Solutions director Stephen Halligan said that the company aimed to be the biggest Vodafone reseller.

Fone Solutions customers are expected to distributed to Olive, Wish and Phonebox.
