Phones 4u stocks two Android tablets for Christmas

Phones 4u is stocking the Samsung Galaxy Tab and the Commtiva N700 tablet in the run up to Christmas. Both Android tablet devices are available in store and online now.

The retailer says it is seeking to tap into the increasingly popular tablet market to drive Christmas sales. A number of tablet package options are available to customers wanting to invest in one of the Android devices this Christmas.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab is available for £199.95 when bought with the Samsung Europa on £45 a month tariffs and above on a choice of networks; or it can be purchased for £499.95 on its own.

The Commtiva N700 is available for £49.95 when bought with the Samsung Europa on £40 a month tariffs and above on a choice of networks or for £349.95 on its own.

Both devices feature a  7” screen and run on the Google Android 2.2 Froyo Operating System. Phones 4u stores will also stock a wide range of accessories for the tablets including covers and protective pouches.

Phones 4u is also marketing an exclusive offer to get ‘Free Wi-Fi Forever’ with Freerunner, which works seamlessly with the tablets. Users just need to register once and whenever they are in range of a Freerunner hotspot they will automatically be connected to the network.

A survey carried out by Phones 4u found that 65% of people would consider purchasing a tablet within the next 10 months, with more than 90% of people wanting tablet devices for browsing the internet and three quarters of people surveyed wanting them for social networking. *

Russell Braterman, marketing director at Phones 4u commented: ‘Tablet devices are an exciting development out of the mobile phone market. Just as our customers love to have the latest handsets, tablets will be high on must-have Xmas present lists this year.  Phones 4u will be offering devices on a range of great value package options, allowing our customers to buy presents for loved ones (or themselves) in the way that they prefer and best meets their needs.’
