Exclusive iPhone 4G version to launch in the US
An exclusive 4G version of the iPhone 4 is expected to launch in the US today (11 January), according to reports.
American operator Verizon is poised to host a press event in New York, where it is expected to end the exclusivity its rival AT&T has had over the iPhone since 2007. The handset is thought to be a new model that will utilise Verizon’s 4G network.
The conference will start at 4pm UK time.
The next generation upgrade on the iPhone 4 is expected to launch in the UK in June. It will not have 4G capabilities, however, because the UK networks have yet to implement and launch the service.
