Acer has launched its latest flagship smartphone, the Iconia Smart, at MWC today, with plans to sell it in the UK from May.
The computer giant says this latest offering is a smartphone and tablet wrapped up in one device.
The Iconia Smart, which runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, has a long, slightly curved full metal body and a large, high-resolution 4.8-inch screen.
Acer says it is ideal for browsing, game playing and watching movies, thanks to its large screen, an LED edge-lit display, Dolby Mobile technology and its six-axis motion sensor.
It also comes with a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, an eight-megapixel camera with LED flash, and a two-megapixel front-facing camera for high-quality IP video calling.
It has a screen resolution of 1024x480 and comes with a host of apps including contacts, Google Maps, email and instant messaging.
The Iconia also comes with high-speed connectivity via HSDPA at 14.4 and Wi-Fi N for data connection, Bluetooth 2.1 and EDR.
