The iPad 2 could be in store this week following Apple's press event scheduled this Wednesday, say insiders.
The blog Apple Insider claims the iPad 2 will be shipped to retailers immediately after its launch at a press event tomorrow in San Francisco.
The blog reports that ‘people familiar to the matter’ suggest the iPad 2 will be available in some outlets very shortly after its launch.
The sources say that Apple is ‘preparing several of its operating segments’ to execute a full scale commercial roll out rather than the staggered roll out of the iPad last year.
These reports contrast claims earlier in the year that the iPad 2 would be in short supply due to production problems.
Apple Insider also predicts the Wi-Fi iPad 2 will be the first model on offer because its roll out isn’t reliant on mobile phone operators.
