IDT launches Red Cross calling card
IDT Retail Europe has launched a Red Cross International calling card which it claims could save consumers up to 94% of calling costs while supporting the Red Cross.
IDT will donate 10% of the face value of each card sold directly to the Red Cross Relief and Development Fund.
The card, which can save consumers between 50% and 94% on international calls compared to regular international calling rates, also acts as a ‘Dual Use’ calling card, allowing both internet access and international calling from Wi-Fi hotspots over the The Cloud network.
Red Cross communications officer Andreas Jansson said: ‘We are delighted to have partnered with IDT. The phone card is a great opportunity to make cheap calls all over the world while supporting the Red Cross. The Swedish distribution by Pressbyrån and 7-11 in stores all over the country make the card easy to come by for anyone interested. We hope and believe that the Red Cross calling card will appeal to many customers.’
Alexandre Moraga, MD of IDT Retail Europe said: ‘This is a great way for IDT to ‘give back’ to the world community and is consistent with our corporate policy. The launch this week in Sweden was just the first step to a multi-country launch of Red Cross cards throughout Europe.’
