HTC has launched a major national roadshow to promote its smartphones to both retail staff and consumers.
A specially-designed HTC trailer will visit 11 cities across the UK and Ireland over a six-week period, showcasing the company’s 2011 product portfolio and HTC Sense.
The roadshow targets most major UK cities using a team of HTC specialists to provide training sessions for retail store staff and help for new HTC smartphone customers.
Jon French, UK and Ireland executive director, said: ‘The capabilities of today’s smartphones have grown far beyond what we thought possible as little as five years ago and although many people may want to move to a smartphone, they often barely scratch the surface of their handset’s potential. We want to empower store staff to speak to their customers about HTC phones – and truly understand the advantages of HTC Sense.
‘It’s also a fantastic opportunity to meet our customers and learn more from them about how they use their phones and what they want to see in future models.’
French added: ‘Our core aim is always to place the customer at the heart of the mobile experience and to do this we listen and observe how people use mobile technology. This roadshow allows us to speak directly to those people who are most important to any mobile phone company – our customers, both trade and public.
‘We are excited to be able to visit so many cities around the UK and Ireland and look forward to seeing everyone in the next few weeks.’
The roadshow kicks off in Manchester this week, moving on to Birmingham, Leeds and Newcastle. Other venues include Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dublin, Belfast, Bristol and Cardiff. The roadshow will conclude in London.
