HTC executive director for UK, Ireland and South Africa Jon French has been promoted to the role of VP of sales and operations for HTC EMEA.
The promotion will see French lead the development of HTC’s supply and sales channels across EMEA and oversee the company’s strategic partnership with Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy Europe.
Meanwhile, Stefan Streit has been appointed VP of marketing and retail for HTC EMEA, responsible for HTC’s marketing and retail programmes within EMEA.
Streit, who has worked in senior marketing roles with brands such as Sony Ericsson, succeeds Vladimir Malugin, who has assumed the role of executive director, Middle East and Africa.

During his time at the helm of UK, Ireland and South Africa, French oversaw the implementation of a comprehensive brand repositioning strategy that has seen a significant growth in UK brand awareness.
Under French’s leadership, the UK has also retained its position as one of the largest and most important markets for HTC globally.
HTC is in the process of appointing a new executive director for UK, Ireland and South Africa, with French retaining responsibility until a successor is in place.
