HTC Corporation has nearly doubled handset shipments to 9.7 million in the first quarter of 2011, up 192% year on year and up 6% on the previous quarter.
Reporting its Q1 results this week, the Taiwanese manufacturer said the first quarter of 2011 had shown record sales and profits.
The results show HTC’s after-tax quarterly profit, year-on-year, has nearly doubled, jumping 196.8% to £309.7m.
HTC’s results also show revenue growth for the fourth consecutive quarter since Q1 2010 to reach £2.12bn, up 174.5% year on year.
