Sony Ericsson has launched a pre-match campaign with social networking platform Foursquare in a bid to build excitement for football fans ahead of the UEFA Champions League Final on 28 May.
The manufacturer is offering fans in London the chance to win exclusive prizes and get closer to the game by entering competitions via its smartphones.
The activities, which will launch a day before the final, will give one fan the chance to watch their favourite team at the famous stadium in Wembley.
The Great Sony Ericsson Shirt Off competition will involve fans searching for a Sony Ericsson football team through Foursquare as they move around 11 different locations in London on the day before the final.
Once these hotspots are revealed, fans must race to find the player, check-in and if they get there first, the player will reveal one of 11 exclusive prizes on the inside of his shirt.
Meanwhile, the Exclusive Badge competition will involve fans trying to unlock the new Sony Ericsson Xperia Footy Final Badge on the day of the final. Every fan that unlocks the badge between midday and midnight at Wembley Stadium will be entered into a draw to win tickets to the UEFA Super Cup in Monaco.
